On our episode today, Tara and Anna welcome Tara's colleague and special guest, Courtney Ycaza, LCAS, CCS, LPCS. Courtney is a mentor of Tara's and her go to resource, she has extensive counseling experience, including working with adults that struggle with work life balance. She is here today to talk about Creating Work-Life Balance for all of you parents out there, especially during this time of COVID-19.
As we all know all too well, with the pandemic and virtual school and work, our work-life balance has significantly has changed. It is because something that is becoming much more important than it has ever been. We set the stage discussing what healthy work- life balance looks like.

What work-life balance looks like for women/moms and how each area of their life should overlap. How many of us feel that we have a healthy balance, but actually may not.
How do we know if we are in the unhealthy zone...signs we can look for in ourselves?
What strategies are effective when it comes to work-life balance during COVID-19 - dealing with anxiety, with the loss of the commute, not being home alone often, worrying about health safety, financial stress?
Learning the meaning of this phrase - "We need separation, but don't need to be separate!" -Parents need to be upfront with kids about what to expect about your schedule and availability.
